Weather API

The Weather API tool for Superface allows you to quickly add the following capabilities:

  • Retrieve current weather information for a specified location.
  • Retrieve historical weather data for a specific city.

Requirements​

You will need an Weather API account and a API key.

Weather API offers a free account with up to 1 million API calls per month, and up to 7 days of historical weather data.

Authentication​

From your Weather API dashboard, click to copy your API Key from the top of the page.

Next, in Superface, click on the Config button for the Weather API tool and paste your API Key into the API Key field in the Security section.

Click on Save Changes to update the tool with the new configuration.

Import your schema

Remember to re-import the schema in your GPT to update it with the new capabilities added by this tool.

To test that everything is working as it should be, from your GPT or the Superface Agent you can try asking:

  • What is the weather in Prague, Czechia?
  • What was the highest temperature in Burnaby, British Columbia in the last 7 days?
