2017
API-first, API-design and consulting
Zdeněk Němec pioneered API design and API first at Apiary. After the acquisition by Oracle, the coming founder of Superface started a consulting firm, Good API, and guided the largest enterprises on the planet (DHL, Adidas, VW, or Inditex – Zara) with API Strategy and the execution of API programs.
2019 - 2020
Public reveal at API Days Paris
In the autumn of 2019, Zdeněk created the working prototype of the first autonomous system. Zdeněk and Mike Amundsen presented the concept to the public at API Days 2019: The Mother of all APIs: from Engelbart to the Present.
Superface
was born
Zdeněk and his co-founder Radek Novotný started Superface in May 2020 and, a few months later, raised the preseed investment of €1.2 million from 42CAP, Tensor Venture, with the help of development studio Applifting.
2021
Gartner recognized the Self-Integrating application category
Gartner has recognized self-integrating applications in their Hype-cycle for 2021, confirming our vision and the problems in the market. We are the first stand-alone company to build a product in this category.
Superface Demo Day
We held our first public demo of the Superface in the fall of 2021.
Public Launch of Superface
We launched the Superface (beta) in Node.js publicly at the WebSummit conference. There we also met our first pilot customers.
2022
First companies onboarded
The first companies have started using Superface in their applications. We've reached our first 1 000 community users. Based on their feedback, we've moved from working on the technology to working on the product.
Ramp up usage of Superface OneSDK
Companies and community users have already performed a total of 30M executions, averaging 400K per day, confirming that our technology and infrastructure are ready for production use.
Superface secures the seed investment
We raised the seed investment of EUR 2.6 million led by Tera.VC, followed by 42CAP, Tensor ventures, and Business Angels groups: Caesar Ventures, Quantum Angels, Startup Istanbul, Nicolas Mohr, Michael Vath, and Siim Teller. We are focused on creating the largest marketplace with AI-powered API integrations.
